Welcome belmon.

Days Between is a fine song, extraordinary lyrics from Hunter, and a very stripped down arrangement from Garcia with flats and minors prominent - in keeping with the bleak landscape of the words. This was never intended as a "hit song" toe-tapper or a chart topper, but certainly held its place as a featured ballad. Like jots, I like this song as well as Standing on the Moon, So Many Roads and Lazy River Road... the final gems from a great duo. Not all easy songs to like, you won't get up and dance - but I respect them. The message was clear and direct, and I hold them up like a fine claret in deep winter.
